Thursday to Saturday this week, Trade guest Dansstationens dance film festival
Dancing in the Dark with our interactive dance film installation Chinese Whispers
- a study in instant choreography for camera. It’s a developed version of last years
Chinese Whispers, and is inspired by A study in choreography for camera by Maya Daren, one of the the first dance films ever made!

Trade – the Installation, an interactive exhibition with performative elements focusing on the Private in the Public.

Assignment: An interview of friends

Trade would like you to film an interview with some of our closest friends, based on the following questions about us.

Did you ever have a conflict with her/him that you can tell us about?
Tell us about a nice or funny experience you’ve had together?
Is there something you would like to ask her/him about?

Assignment: Who is We?

Trade invites you to a collaborative writing-session on Thursday 30th of June, between 7-8 pm.

What we want you to do is contribute to a document by writing about yourself. The aim of the text is to create a character from fragments of all participating personalities. All visitors will be able to change the text during this hour and you are free to add what you want, to remove existing material, or to move words around.

Who will this person be when the session closes?

After some days of research on the relation between the private and the public, we now ask for your help. We believe that the idea of privacy is very individual, and we would like you to share what privacy means to you. You can describe it as you wish – like a concrete situation or a subtle feeling, it’s up to you.

Assignment: An investigation

Trade would like you to profile and make a presentation of one of the network members. By searching the internet (Facebook, Google, MySpace and so on) we want you to investigate his/her life, as intimate and private as possible, and then send it back to us. 

You can make the task as small or big as you like, but don’t kill yourself – Internet is easy to get lost in…

Trade has arrived at PAF

After a 28-hour train ride we have finally reached our destination – a three week residency at PAF in St. Erme, France. Such an amazing place! After a good nights sleep we will begin the continuation of the Trade project. We hope you will follow the process here on the blog and on our Facebook group.

Trade is on the move again!

Coming up: Performance, Residency and Installation

After a winter break Trade is back on the road – in a couple of weeks we travel to France to do a three week residency at PAF in St. Erme. This year we want to concentrate on the collective-creativity and work towards a new piece called Trade – the installation.

We will start out with a small performance at Plattform in Malmö, the 10th of June, where we will invite the audience to be a part of the creative work and on the 19th we’re off to France!
